How can I learn how to trade or invest successfully?

I think there’s a lot to learn from the individuals, methods and mentalities that have provided consistently good returns over time. I’d imagine there are investors of every discipline who have their own way of outperforming the crowd, and a very rare few who will continue to outperform with the same methods.

As traders the only thing we can control in the market is our risk and how much we are prepared to lose!!  Most people don’t realise that it’s not stock selection that makes a good trader, its money management and risk management, and that’s key to keeping us in the game.

Here’s the trade results of a live trend trader who gets more trades wrong than right, but he’s still profitable due to his money and risk management.
