2022 Chronicles: War, Layoffs, Meltdowns & Famous Deaths

This is a chronicle diary from Himanshu Patil – an active stocks and options trader for the year 2022.

1/4 – $SPX hit All Time Highs to $4818.62 & $AAPL hit All Time Highs to $182.94

1/6 – $HUM crashed 22%

1/18 – Microsoft will acquire Activision Blizzard for $95.00 per share, in an all-cash transaction valued at $68.7 billion, inclusive of Activision Blizzard’s net cash. $ATVI spiked 33%.

1/20 – $NFLX opened at $517.75, went high to $526.64 and then they reported ER saying that streaming competition is eating into its growth and subscriber growth is slowing and guess what stock plummeted to $380 on the next day.

1/21 – $SPX dumped 8.8% from 1/13-1/21 into Monthly/Yearly Opex

1/24 – What a 180 handle/4% mofkin gap down it was on $SPX…holy shit $VIX rocketed 39% in single session and hit 52 W high at $38.94…what an intraday recovery in all indices that day and all indices closed green on a day. Epic recovery

1/27 – Jim Cramer literally drowns Cathie Wood’s $ARKK with SARK named bottle saying ‘You poured the $SARK over the ARK’ on his Mad Money show. $ARKK was trading at $66 on 1/27 and closed the year at $31.24.

2/1 – $GOOG reported the ER with the announcement of 20-for-1 stock split. $GOOG limit up in after hrs by almost 9% & hit ATH the next day.

2/2 – Ohh my my $META, what a limit down it was in after hrs…$META plummeted 26%, erasing over $200 B from the market cap (the biggest single-day slide in market value for a US company) and around $29 B from Zucky boy’s net worth. $PYPL -26.7%.

2/4–20 – The 2022 Winter Olympics are held in Beijing, China, making it the first city ever to host both the Summer Olympics and Winter Olympics.

2/6 – Lata Mangeshkar, a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, was an icon of Indian cinema, having sung playback for an extensive list of Hindi films died at 92.

2/11 – Nat Gas started its explosive rally.

2/18 – Russian stocks like Sberbank, Luke Oil, and Yandex started dumping and end up going 90%+ in a week or 2.

2/24 – Early on Feb 24 morning, as Kyiv was slowly waking up, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in Ukraine aimed at “demilitarizing and denazifying” the country. Basically, Russia invaded Ukraine. YM $DJIA futures were -900 pre-market, $SPX was down 115 handle, $VIX +22%, $CL_F +10%. An epic recovery started from the first 15 min after the opening, Recovery: $SPX 4.4%, $QQQ fkin 7%,$AAPL 7%, $NVDA 14%

2/28 – $CL_F WTI BRENT started rallying and WTI Crude went up 40% in just 7 session, at that time I have never seen it’s running like that before. $CVX started pumping & went up 32% within 9 sessions.

3/4 – $WEAT hit 52 W high at $12.75. Rallied 78% in 1 month. Lumber topped at $1357.3

3/8 – The US and UK announce a ban on Russian oil, while the EU announces a two-thirds reduction in its demand for Russian gas. $CL_F WTI Crude hit a decade high of $129.42 per barrel and topped
Gold/$GLD/Silver hit 52 W highs of $2070.42 per oz, $193.3 & $26.94 respectively. The London Metal Exchange (LME) was forced to halt nickel trading and cancel trades after prices saw an unprecedented run of 250% on Tuesday to more than $100,000 per tonne in a surge sources… blamed on short covering by one of the world’s top producers. Nickel became a new shit altcoin and it was a horror show for China’s Tsingshan Holding Group. Indian banking index NiftyBank hit 52 W lows at 32,155.35.

3/9 – WTI Crude almost went down 20% intraday from the previous day’s top, Gold went down 4.5%

3/10 – $MCD hit 52 W lows at $217.68 after announcing the closing down of their Russian operations and rallied ever since.

3/9-3/15 – WTI Crude, Silver & Gold plummeted 27%, 8.7% & 8% respectively.

3/14 – $GTLB (Gitlab Inc) hit 52 W lows at $30.74.

3/15 – BMR started in all indices and the off-course Evil rally started in $AAPL.

3/16 – The Fed approved a 25 BPS rate hike, the first increase since December 2018.

3/18 – $GME full throttle short squeeze started which end up going 153% in 8 sessions

3/21 – China Eastern Airlines Flight 5735 crashes in Guangxi, China, killing all 133 people on board. It was a sad day.

3/15-3/29 – $SPY, $QQQ, $DIA went up by 11%, 17% & 7.4%, $AAPL rallied for consecutive 11 days for the first time since 2010 & end up going up by 20%. $NET 63.3%, $SQ +59%, $TSLA whooping +51.5%, $ENPH +46%, $MSFT +14.3%

3/27 – During the 94th Academy Awards, actor Will Smith walked onstage and slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face in response to Rock’s joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.

4/10 – Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan was forced to step down as Pakistan’s Prime Minister after he lost a no-confidence vote in the country’s Parliament. Khan is the first Prime Minister in the nation to be removed through the process.

4/11 – The National Assembly of Pakistan elects the leader of the opposition Shehbaz Sharif as prime minister of Pakistan.

4/14 – $TSLA CEO Elon Musk has offered to buy out Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash by tweeting ‘I made an offer’, valuing $TWTR at roughly $44 billion.

4/20 – $NFLX had its 2nd limit down, $NFLX plummeted by 38.69% & from $348.1 to $212.51

4/21-4/22 – $SPX, $DJI, $NDQ dumped 245 handle, 1700 points & 920 points in 2 days respectively. $TSLA went up +12% intraday. $HCA dropped by 21.8%. $XLP, $WMT, $PG, $KO hit ATH

4/27 – $META rallied 18% on better-than-expected quarterly earnings. $MSFT got saved in after hrs the day earlier after Satya bhai delivered the guidance and rallied 7.8%

4/28 – $AMZN shares fall on the bleak forecast and slowest growth since the dot-com bust. The company recorded a $7.6 billion loss on its investment in electric vehicle maker $RIVN. $AMZN extended its dump the next day to 15.7%. $AAPL rallied 5.5%

4/29 – $AAPL dumped 5.3%

5/4 – The Federal Reserve raised rates by 50 BPS. $DJI rose 932 points

5/5 – $SPX crashed by 4.45% and almost 193 handle intraday. $AAPL crashed 6.67%, and $ILMN dropped 32% in the next 5 sessions. $AMZN -7.7%, $SHOP -11.6%, $CRWD -8.9%, $ENPH -8.4%.

Elon Musk has locked down $7.14 billion in funding from a group of investors that includes $ORCL co-founder Larry Ellison and Sequoia Capital to fund his $44 billion deal to take $TWTR

5/6 – Monkeypox outbreak: An outbreak of monkeypox begins when the first monkeypox virus case is reported in London, the United Kingdom.

5/9 – The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka ‘Mahinda Rajapaksa’ resigns as a result of massive protests against his government across the country. He is succeeded by ‘Ranil Wickremesinghe’ as prime minister three days later.

5/10 – $UPST crashed 65% from the day’s top into the next day after the company cuts the full-year revenue forecast in the ER. $RBLX hit 52 W lows at $21.65.

5/11 – $BROS crashed 50% from the day’s top into after hrs after reporting the ER and hit ATL.

5/12 – $BTC short-term crash of 36% within 8 sessions completed. $FSLR hit 52 W lows at $59.6. $NFLX hit 52 W lows at $162.71 & my friend @sumandeep27 bought the dip.

5/13 – Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is elected as the 3rd president of the United Arab Emirates by the Federal Supreme Council following the death of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan a day earlier.
Crypto market plunges: Luna crashes to $0 as UST falls further away from its dollar peg. Ouch!

5/17 – $WMT missed earnings expectations for the fiscal first quarter, as the retailer felt cost pressure from fuel prices, higher inventory levels, and overstaffing. $WMT dumped 11.38% ($WMT Stock suffered the biggest Crash in 35 Yrs) and extended the loss to 21.5% in 5 sessions.

5/18 – $TGT dumped 28% from $215 to $155.6 intraday and closed at $161.6 per share after the company said high costs, and inventory woes hit profits.

5/20 – $TSLA went down from $722 to $633. You remember those $TSLA $650.00 May 20, 2022, PUTs unusual options activity. Someone got paid off $100 M that day. $COST crashed 18.25% for the week & hit 52 W lows at $406.51.

5/21 – Australian federal election: The Labor party, led by Anthony Albanese, defeats the Liberal/National Coalition Government led by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

5/25 – $DXCM hit 52 W lows at $66.89

5/26 – Broadcom $AVGO to acquire VMware $VMW for approx. $61 B in Cash and Stock. $VMW rallied 36% that week.

5/28 – Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1–0 to win the UEFA Champions League final played at the Stade de France in Paris, France with the help of Vinicius Jr’s second-half goal.

5/29 – The Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who is credited with popularizing rap in rural areas, was shot dead on 29 May when his car was ambushed by unidentified gunmen.

6/1 – The infamous and well-publicized trial between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, which began in April, ended in favor of Depp. The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million dollars in punitive damages. The jury awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages and no money for punitive damages.

6/5 – At least 50 people are killed in a dual mass shooting-bomb attack in Owo, Nigeria

6/8-6/16 – Investors worried ahead of the release of the key inflation data and started the sell-off on Wednesday and accelerated it into Thursday, Friday & till next Thursday. In 7 sessions $SPX crashed 520 handle/-12.5%, $DJI crashed 3400 points/ -10.3%…

…$NDQ witnessed cloth’s torn fall of 1730 points/-13.6%. Crashes of the 7 sessions: $GOOG -10.5%, $MSFT -11.55%, $ED – 12%, $XLU -14%, $AAPL -14.3%, $SRE -16%, $TSLA -18%, $AMZN -18.5%,$XOM -18.8%, $CVX -20%, $NVDA -20%, $META -21%, $OXY -23.3%, $COP -25%, $AMD -25%, $NET -31%

6/14 – From May 2021 to May 2022, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for All Urban Consumers increased 8.6%, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending December 1981. $SNOW hit 52 W lows at $110.27 per share, I remember me, @BigBullCap, @anandragnand, @AlokBand, @KrisPatel99 & so many of my friends bought the $SNOW dip.

6/14 – Heavy rains lashed across Pakistan, flooding hundreds of villages and plunging nearly one-third of the country underwater. At least 1,500 people died and 33 million people were displaced in its aftermath.

6/15 – Fed hikes its benchmark interest rate by 75 BPS, the biggest increase since 1994. Officials also significantly cut their outlook for 2022 economic growth, now anticipating just a 1.7% gain in GDP, down from 2.8% from March.

6/16 – $TLT, $AAPL, $QQQ hit 52 W lows at $108.12, $129.04, $269.28 respectively.

6/17 – $SPX, $DJI, Indian benchmark index NIFTY50 hit 52 W lows at $3636.87, $29,653.29, 15,183.4. Also, the beginning of the demonic rally in $AAPL.

6/21 – Beginning of the False Dawn with the gap up in all indices.

6/21-6/24 – 4 day week, $DIA, $SPY, $QQQ rallied 5.5%, 6.5% & 7.5%. Explosive rallies across the board: $MSFT +8%, $AAPL +9%, $GOOG +10%, $UNH +11.5%, $TSLA +13.7%, $AMZN +14.3%, $CRM +14.5%, $MDB +25.6%, $NET +25.6%, $DDOG +26%, $SNOW +37%

7/6 – Nat Gas & $BOIL started their explosive rally.

7/8 – Horrifying news from Nara, Japan: Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been assassinated while delivering a speech in public.

7/12 – Elon Musk failed to comply with his original merger agreement, prompting Twitter to take legal action.

7/12 – Breaking: Twitter sues Elon Musk in the Delaware Court of Chancery after he tried to back out of their $44 billion deal.

7/13 – Consumer pressures reach fever pitch as June inflation skyrockets to 9.1%, surpassing all expectations. Costs surged for gasoline, groceries, rent and dental. care

$SPX, $DJI, & $NDQ tanked 90 handle, 830 points, & 230 points respectively.

7/14 – Reversal in all indices and the beginning of the explosive rally. $DXY hit $109.29 and started reversing

7/15 – Hong Kong-based investment bank $HKD AMTD Digital Inc. IPO’d and the Evil stock with Evil intentions born on Wall Street.

7/18 – Droupadi Murmu is elected as President of India, making her the first tribal woman and youngest person to be elected to office.

7/18 – Big news! Google-parent Alphabet is completing a 20-for-1 stock split across its Class A $GOOGL & Class C $GOOG shares on 18 July 2022. #stocksplit

7/19 – European heat waves: A series of brutal heatwaves caused over 53,000 deaths & set records for high temperatures. Devastating wildfires and travel disruption occurred, making it a deadly and disruptive season. #HeatWave #ClimateChange

7/21 – Big news out of Sri Lanka: After protests and economic crisis, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is elected as President by the Parliament following the resignation of Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Breaking: The ECB has raised its key interest rate from -0.5% to zero (50 BPS Hike) for the first time in over 11 years – more increases are on the way!

7/26 – $MSFT reported results that fell below Wall Street expectations, yet their stock still rose 5% – all due to the positive outlook for future growth delivered by Satya bhai in after hrs. $MSFT went down to $243 in after hours and reversed to $270 the next day #Pumping. $HKD rally started from $37.55 per share.

7/27 – Fed hiked interest rates by 75 BPS for the second consecutive time to fight inflation, taking its benchmark rate to a range of 2.25%-2.5%.

7/28 – $AMZN impresses investors with their 3Q revenue and positive outlook. Analysts say the company is well on its way to continued success. $AMZN climbed 13% in after hrs, I lost $2000 bucks betting against $AMZN that day, and the next quarter it turned out it was a false dawn.

“Despite continued inflationary pressures in fuel, energy, and transportation costs, we’re making progress on the more controllable costs we referenced last quarter, particularly improving the productivity of our fulfillment network,” CEO Andy Jassy said in a statement. Good news for $AAPL shareholders: Despite some “softness” in the market, the company reported strong revenue and profit growth. Expectations of future performance remain high! $AAPL rallied 3% in after hrs. “In terms of an outlook in the aggregate, we expect revenue to accelerate in the September quarter despite seeing some pockets of softness,” Apple CEO Tim Cook told CNBC’s Steve Kovach

7/29 – $DJI, $SPX, $NDQ rallied 3.8%, 5.75%, 7.8% respectively in the last week of July.

7/31 – Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Egyptian terrorist who became the 2nd Emir of al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden’s death in 2011, is killed in an airstrike in Kabul, Afghanistan conducted by the United States Central Intelligence Agency.

8/2 – $HKD surged 24000% from $10 to $2555 per share on volume lower than my TV and became a 12th largest company by a market cap surpassing $META, $V, $XOM, $CVX and many more at $450 B.

$TLT short-term rally topped at $120.69 and $TNX bottomed at 2.525. $TLT started falling and $TNX started rallying sharply.

8/2-8/3 – China’s largest-ever military exercise around Taiwan was a response to Nancy Pelosi, the highest-ranking U.S. official to visit since 1990 – sparking little controversy worldwide.

8/5-8/7 – Israel launches airstrikes in the Gaza Strip resulting in the death of Islamic Jihad military leader Tayseer Jabari.

8/10 – Inflation pressures ease as consumer prices rise 8.5% in July – less than expected! $SPX rallied 90 handles and end up going 160 handles for a week. $DXY short-term bottomed at $104.63 and started its explosive rally.

8/16 – $SPX, $NDQ, $DJI completed 600+ handle, 2240 points, 4150 points rally which started from July 14, 22

8/17 – $AAPL completed its demonic rally after end up going 36.5% from Jun 16 to Aug 17, 2022 which never made any sense at least to me. I started my 2nd short starter.

8/26 – Jackson Hole: Papa Powell stands firm against inflation, pushing investors to consider the impact of prolonged higher interest rates.

The $DJI dropped 1,008.38 points, or 3.03%, to 32,283.40, with losses accelerating into the close. $SPX fell 3.37% to 4,057.66, and the $NDQ slid 3.94% to 12,141.71. $GDX fell 5% and end up plummeting 12.2% in 5 sessions.

8/27 – The 2022 Asia Cup is started in the United Arab Emirates, and is won by Sri Lanka later.

9/2 – In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, G7 economies teamed up to impose a cap on petroleum exports from Russia.

9/3 – Breaking news: India has just become the fifth biggest economy in the world, according to @imf projections!

9/6 – Breaking news in the UK: Liz Truss is now Prime Minister after winning the Conservative Party leadership election this summer. Congratulations!

9/7 – CPI data will be lower hopium rally started in all indices. $SPX, $NDQ, $DJI rallied 210 handle, 730 points, 1400 points respectively in next 4 sessions till Sept 12.

9/8 – Queen Elizabeth II passed away at 96. Her son Charles III is now King, taking the throne after her death at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

9/11 – The 2022 Swedish election elects 349 Riksdag seats.Center-left bloc narrowly loses to 176-173 right-wing, PM Andersson resigns; Ulf Kristersson succeeds in Oct.

9/12 – I was thinking to short the $SPY, $QQQ after the fact of CPI data but my brother @eliant_capital warned beforehand. $AAPL rallied 7.6% in the last 3 sessions.

9/12 – $XLU topped at $78.22% and we initiated a short position on it and time ticked the top with my bro @Puneet_Thakkar_ . It turned out to be one of the best short of the year later after it went down 22.8% in just 1 month.

9/13 – Massive gap down as Inflation didn’t stay low in August. Shelter and food costs rose, canceling out any drop in gas prices that we saw. $DJI, $SPX, $NDQ, $AAPL hit cloth’s torn levels of -4.14, -4.6%, -6%, -6.15% respectively.

9/14 – The Atlantic hurricane Fiona hits Guadeloupe, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Lucayan Archipelago, Bermuda, and Eastern Canada.

9/14 – Breaking: Indian businessman Mr. Gautam Adani is now the third-richest person in the world, with a net worth of $150.6 billion according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires rankings! #MoneyMakesTheWorldGoRound

9/19 – The funeral of Elizabeth II was viewed by millions around the world. Her coffin went from Westminster Abbey to Windsor Castle for burial alongside her beloved husband, parents, and sister. A momentous event in human history!

9/21 – The Fed just raised the rates by another 75 BPS to battle inflation – and there could be more hikes coming! “My main message has not changed since Jackson Hole,” said Powell. The central bank took its federal funds rate up to a range of 3%-3.25%, the highest since 2008. $DJI, $SPX & $NDQ plummeted 6.66%, 7.2% & 7.5% respectively in next 5 sessions.

9/26 – $XLE and all Oil related stocks like $XOM, $CVX, $OXY, $COP etc. bottomed.

9/26 – GBPUSD limit down and almost reached to the parity near 1. GBPUSD declined 8% almost. EURUSD went down below parity and was trading at 0.955.

9/27 – The aftermath of Hurricane Ian is devastating: Over 157 lives lost, 16 people still missing & millions across Cuba & the US are left without power. Our hearts go out to all those affected – stay safe!

9/27 – $CAT hit the 52 W low at $160.6 and started the most hated rally!

9/28 – $DXY hit 2 decades high at $114.77

9/30 – $JPM Rolled the collar for Q4 2022

10/3 – We gapped up and $SPX ran 110 handle and end up going 210 handle in total on Oct 4. Explosive start of Oct 2022.

10/4 – My friend @amazonholder1 ‘s one of the best call for the year. $TWTR skyrocketed to $52 per share after the following news: ‘Twitter issued this statement about today’s news: We received the letter from the Musk parties which they have filed with the SEC. The intention of the Company is to close the transaction at $54.20 per share.’

10/5 – Breaking: OPEC+ just imposed a production cut of up to 2 million barrels per day. Looks like prices will go back up soon! $CL_F, WTI Crude, BRENT Crude already started rallying since Oct 3 in anticipation. WTI Crude ran 14.7% in 5 sessions.

10/7 – September jobs report shows our economy is strong: the unemployment rate falls to 3.5% & payrolls rise by 263,000! $DJI, $SPX, $NDQ declined by 2.5%, 3.25% & 4.3% respectively. Indexes continued their decline till next 5 sessions.

10/12 – Breaking: UK bond prices have reached their lowest point in 20 years – a sign of economic uncertainty.

10/13 – CPI Day: We dumped 80 handle on $SPX and reversed astonishingly by +190 handle from the bottom. It’s still gives me cracks all over my body thinking about that day. $DJI, $SPX, $NDQ, $AAPL rallied 5.25%, 5.5%, 6% & 6.75% from the bottom on a day. EU50EUR +4.6%, $MSFT +7.75%, $BLK +12.8%, $ASML +13.3%, $LRCX +15% etc. Explosive bull run started in $DJI

10/14 – $SPX declined 135 handle from the top. Almost halfway through yesterday’s rally.

10/21 – $TNX topped at 4.33% and started reversing. $SPX went up 115 handles on Friday and continued its run till next Friday and hit $3905.

10/22 – History was made today. Xi Jinping has been elected to a third term as China’s paramount leader at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.

10/24 – Breaking: Rishi Sunak is the new Prime Minister of the UK after Liz Truss’ resignation. Marking a historic 50-day tenure, the government faces a crisis that must be addressed swiftly.

10/25 – Breaking: Microsoft stocks dropped 7% in after hrs after Q1 revenue undershot expectations & weak quarterly guidance. The cloud segment showed softer growth than expected. #MicrosoftInvestors

$GOOG shares took a dive of 7% in after-hours trading: Earnings and revenue for the third quarter were lower than expected, plus headcount growth plans are being scaled back. Revenue growth slowed to 6% as online ad spending dropped. It’s not easy out there!

10/26 – $META took another dive on Weds, dropping 19% in after-hours trading. Facebook’s weak forecast & dismal earnings overshadowed the stock – ouch! $META end up going down by 28.7% from yesterday’s top into the next day.

10/27 – $AMZN shares tanked 13% in after-hours trading

…following a lackluster Q4 forecast and missing revenue estimates. “There is obviously a lot happening in the macroeconomic environment,” said by Jassy. “And we’ll balance our investments to be more streamlined without compromising our key long-term, strategic bets.”

Apple $AAPL outperformed in a dismal week for Big Tech, delivering impressive sales and profits after the bell on Thursday. It’s clear why Apple is still the world’s most valuable company – it’s a stock to own, not trade!

10/26-10/28 – BREAKING: Elon Musk has officially acquired Twitter for a staggering $44 billion on Oct 28, 2022. The social media landscape is forever changed!

11/2 – Breaking news from the Fed: Rates raised by 75 BPS, tightening campaign continues. Chair Jerome Powell says there’s still a ways to go #FedDecision $DJI, $SPX & $NDQ dumped 2.85%, 3.4% & 4.5% respectively.

11/3 – Benjamin Netanyahu Triumphs in Israel – Lapid Concedes Defeat.

11/9 – A very next day – Breaking: Binance withdraws support for FTX, leaving the crypto exchange in peril. Will other companies step up and save it? $BTC went down 25% and hit new lows of $15,588 per coin, $ETH, $SOL, $ADA hit $1071, $12.37, $0.31 respectively.

SAAS/Cloud/Cybersecurity liquidation day just 1 day before CPI data. $MDB, $DDOG, $NET & $U hit 52 W lows at $135.15, $66.45, $37.37 & $18 (After hrs) respectively. $SNOW $122.77, $CRWD $120.5, $ZS $114.21, $GTLB $33.88 etc. found trading relatively lower
11/10 – CPI Data AKA Limit Up AKA Best Day of the year.

$DJI pops 1,200 points, $SPX jumps 5% in biggest rally in two years after light inflation report.

The stock market had a strong day:
• Amazon +12.2%
• Meta +10%
• Apple 9%
• Microsoft +8%
• Tesla +7%

11/30 – The Fed just hinted at smaller interest rate hikes in December – an encouraging sign for the economy! “We will stay the course until the job is done,” he said during a speech in Washington, D.C. at the Brookings Institution. Markets react positively to remarks: The Dow gained 2.18%, Nasdaq up 4.41%, ending a 3-day losing streak!

12/1 – $TSLA was trading as high as $198.92 and the epic fall just began.

12/13 – CPI Data Day: Stocks soared after the consumer price index revealed a 0.1% bump from last month and a 7.1% year-over-year increase! At one point in the session we limit up, the $DJI jumped 707.24 points +2.08%, with $SPX soaring 2.77% and $NDQ hitting 3.84%. Once again we got beautiful signal from big brother @dampedspring earlier in a day which turned out to be terrific.

$TSLA started collapsing since the open and intraday fell down by 10%.

12/14 – Fed raises interest rates to a 15-year high of 4.25%-4.5%. The Federal Open Market Committee voted for a 50 BPS increase in the overnight borrowing rate, taking it to its highest point since 2006!
